As we lovingly document the milestones of your child’s first year, please note the other exciting features our sessions include:
• 4 custom photo shoots at the studio;
• your very own private online viewing gallery from all your sessions for one year;
• a custom 1 minute slideshow from each session for your mobile phone;
We also offer, as a separate purchase, a complete menu of heirloom products, which includes custom wall art, photo albums and more, along with digital downloads...you design your own collection to best fit your needs.
Baby Collection Terms And Conditions:
Session fee of $575 is required in full to reserve your 4 session dates for the year. The studio only offers a limited number of BABY Collection sessions each year.
The Baby Collection includes: 4 custom baby milestone sessions, 4 mobile slideshows from each session, and an online gallery for viewing photos. Prints and/or digital downloads are not included in the session fee, but may be purchased separately. After the newborn session, remaining appointments should be scheduled at least 60 days in advance prior to the following milestone session. We understand that emergencies occur, so we allot one emergency reschedule per session. Any further cancellations result in forfeiture of that session. No substitutions of sessions or products are available in this program. The Baby Collection is non-transferrable. All appointments will take place in the studio. In the event of a C-section, we can travel to you for the newborn session, however we can not provide as many different sets as we are limited to what we can bring. Travel fees of $.75 per mile one way will apply. Images will be made ready within 30 days of session and can be seen via a scheduled viewing/ordering session and/or your private online gallery. There is no minimum purchase required. The final edited images will be kept on file for one year. Your prints will be professionally color corrected and brightness calibrated to the specifications of our professional lab. If your proofs appear too light or dark on your screen, it is likely due to monitor variation. We do not guarantee prints that are produced at a lab other than our own or the one that we suggest to you.
SELECTION PROCESS: We will choose the best images from your session to go in your gallery. Images are edited at our discretion and your gallery will not include all images shot. We reserve the creative right to edit and release only those images deemed creditable as professional in quality and within our artistic standards. Images with blinking, children moving out of the frame, unflattering expressions, etc. are purged during the editing process to ensure that only the absolute best images end up in your gallery. Each gallery will have a minimum of 25 images. All images receive basic retouching, which includes temporary changes, such as acne, small spots on clothing, etc. Extensive re-touching is done by request only and will add additional processing time to your order and possibly incur additional fees.
SATISFACTION GUARANTEE: Due to the personal nature of photography, all sales are final. However, should something not meet your expectations, it is your responsibility to contact us within one week and we will work to resolve the issue to your satisfaction. Please treat your finished products with care. Damage incurred due to improper handling, framing, or hanging is the responsibility of the client. In the event that photographic materials are damaged or lost through camera or computer malfunction, the photographer liability will be limited to a retake of the session as soon as possible or a prorated refund if a retake cannot be scheduled. If the session fee is refunded, photographer will have no further obligation. Photographer will endeavor to ensure that you are satisfied with your images and products, however we cannot be responsible for dissatisfaction due to factors outside our control. Reshoots will not be granted due to distracting clothing, hair, or makeup issues, or due to a lack of cooperation by subjects being photographed.
SAFETY: Client is responsible for their own safety, the safety of those who accompany them, and the safety of each minor child accompanying them. On behalf of themselves and such children, Client releases Carrie Vines Photography from all claims and liabilities of any kind. In consideration of having my picture taken, upon the terms herewith stated, I hereby hold harmless Carrie Vines Photography, their heirs, legal representatives and assigns, those for whom Carrie Vines Photography is acting and working, as well as owners of the property where photographs are being taken. I understand I enter into all sessions at my own risk and will hold Carrie Vines Photography harmless for any bodily injury or illness that may occur as a result of my interaction with them, their equipment and their studio. I hereby affirm that I am over the age of majority and have the right to contract in my own name OR I represent that I am the parent/guardian of the above named persons(s). I hereby consent to the foregoing on his/her behalf. I have read the above authorization, release and agreement, prior to its execution; I fully understand the contents thereof. This agreement shall be binding upon me and my heirs, legal representatives and assigns.
RESCHEDULING/RESHOOTS: If an illness or situation prevents a photo session from taking place, client may reschedule their session at least 24 hours prior to their shoot without penalty. Should client fail to give 24 hours notice, or decide to completely cancel the shoot, no reshoot will be offered. Photographer reserves the right to reschedule due to illness, weather, equipment malfunction, or other circumstances beyond their control.
Failure to Perform: If Carrie Vines is unable to perform to the guidelines of this contract due to inclement weather, fire or casualty, act of God, act of terrorism, pandemic, government shutdown or riots or other cause beyond the control of the parties, Carrie Vines shall have no further liability with respect to the agreement. If Carrie Vines is unable to perform to the obligations in this contract for any other reason, and a suitable replacement photographer can not be provided, Carrie Vines will not be liable for costs in excess of the amount the client has paid. This limitation of liability will also apply in the event that the high resolution digital files are lost through camera malfunction, damaged in processing, lost in the mail, or otherwise damaged or lost with or without fault of the photographer Carrie Vines. While every attempt is made to create the best images possible, no particular photo is guaranteed.
Copyright, Reproduction & Model Release: It is illegal to submit for publication or contest, copy or scan, right click or otherwise screen capture images in any way or manner without written permission by Carrie Vines. All rights to the images created by Carrie Vines, including copyright, will remain with the photographer. Carrie Vines will provide to the client a print release, allowing the client to use images for personal use, include printing and sharing on social media. Carrie Vines reserves the right to display any photographs made in conjunction with this session as samples of her work, for use in exhibit, stock photography, editorial, advertising, promotion on the internet, publication, instruction and professional competition. The images can also be used without additional compensation to the undersigned. If the Photographer desires to make other uses other than the ones listed, the Photographer shall not do so without first obtaining written permission of the Client.
Studio Policies: No outside photography, including images and video with a cell phone, is permitted. Click here to review our Studio Policies in full. Unless prior arrangements have been made, siblings are not included in the Baby Collection sessions.
For the best possible outcome for your baby collection sessions: The first appointment should occur when the newborn baby is under 10 days of age; The second appointment should occur during the ‘expressive’ stage (around 4th month when the baby can safely hold his/her head up without wobbling); The third appointment should occur during the ‘sitting up’ stage and (sometimes) crawling (around 8 month); The final appointment must occur during your child’s first birthday month. The session will focus on the celebration of the first birthday, with either a cake smash, or focus on family portraits. Cake smash cakes are custom made to order and cost an additional $30-$50, depending on style. Cake orders must be placed 30 days in advance of session date.
