Redlands Prospect Park Engagement Session

Sam and Devon’s Prospect Park Engagement Session

This winter has been challenging to say the least.. it has rained practically every weekend since the beginning of the new year and so my scheduling has been all over the place. Thankfully, Sam and Devon’s engagement session at Prospect Park in Redlands did not get rained out and I’m super excited to share these images with you!

Devon and Sam have shared a little of their love story with us.. Enjoy!

Chance Encounter, Set Up or Swiped?: We met in high school.

The Big Proposal: Sam was leaving for Arizona on Christmas Eve so we decided to celebrate the holiday on December 23rd. We had plans for a double date with my best friend, Rachel, and her boyfriend, Zach. We went to a nice dinner at Pizzaioli in Chino Hills. After dinner we went to look at Christmas lights in Chino. The year before, Sam and I went to a house with arches going up their walkway covered in lights and took pictures there. We went back to to the same house to take pictures. We walked around to the other houses and had fun with our friends. Toward the end of the night Rachel suggested we go back to the arches to take more pictures because “she didn’t look good” in the other pictures. We went back and Sam I went up first to take pictures. Rachel told me to come over to her so she could “fix my hair.” After she “fixed my hair,” I turned around and Sam was on his knee with the ring and asked me to marry him.

How Long Have You Been Engaged?: 4 years

3 Things You Love About Sam:

I love that he wants to protect and provide for me me and our future family.
His smile makes me smile.
He makes me laugh.

Where Did You Find Your Engagement Outfits?: I went to Macy’s and just picked out what I liked.

Location, Location, Location: We wanted somewhere nature-y with lots of trees. We ended going to Prospect Park in Redlands which was perfect with what we wanted.

Feeling: We weren’t really nervous until Carrie started telling us what we needed to do. She made us feel comfortable and made us laugh the entire time. We were having a lot of fun during the session.

Advice: Just have fun with the love of your life!
