CSU Channel Islands Engagement Session | Diane and Jacob

The recently scorched hills surrounding the CSU Channel Islands didn’t dampen the mood of this engagement session yesterday…. Diane and Jacob met while attending this gorgeous university tucked in the hills of Camarillo, became friends and fell in love. They chose this campus, with its 1930s California Mission and Spanish revival buildings and lush gardens, for their engagement session.. the special place where it all began. And they brought their furbaby, Stormy, who was a little shy, but all the more adorable..

Stormy prefers to be Diane and Jacob’s arms…she’s quite happy there!

Diane and Jacob will be dancing as husband and wife to Mindy Gledhill, one of my favorite singers, and they gave me a sneak peek of their choreographed first dance.. LOVE!!

The light was amazing yesterday and we chased it as it dipped behind the mountains..

Its safe to say that the camera loves Diane..(She’s gorgeous!!) Aren’t they both amazing?!

Diane and Jacob flew in from Florida and are getting married this Saturday at the Christmas House…Enjoy your lovely day, Diane and Jacob.. and enjoy each other for a lifetime!:)

Seattle Family Photography – ((hugs)) from Seattle

I’m dying up here in Seattle, Washington! I can’t stop gasping for breath. Around every corner.. on every corner…every green and weathered corner is a beautiful backdrop for photos. I might have to seriously consider looking into relocating just for Seattle family photography.

Yesterday, we took the scenic route back to our friends house and came across this lovely grey barn. And I gasped. And the kids groaned because they knew what was in store for them. LOL..Again.

Can I just bring this barn home?

Miracle Mile Engagement Session | Carolyn and Chris

I’ve been looking forward to Carolyn and Chris’ Miracle Mile engagement session for several weeks now, in part, because they chose this location for the architecture and history, which Carolyn and Chris love… and that makes me excited and happy! Anytime a clients chooses a location that has meaning for them..well, that session automatically becomes a winner in my book. And I loved exploring the streets with them, listening as they pointed out historical buildings, like the May Co. building, soon to be the new home of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, and the El Rey Theater.

Carolyn was on the verge of moving back to Chicago where she was from, when she happened to meet Chris.. at a bar.. with some friends. They joke about how cliche it sounds, but that chance encounter changed their life course and soon they will be married. And I’m so happy for them and can’t wait to capture their wedding day.:)
