I met the world travelin’ Ryan family while in Costa Rica. In fact, I have the Hilton Papagayo Resort to thank for making this family session possible. You see, the Ryan family had just wrapped up a whirl wind tour of Costa Rica and decided to end their trip relaxing on the black sandy beaches at the Hilton resort. And they thought it might be fun to have some family photos taken at this beautiful location… if only the resort had a photographer…..
So Sam and I had just finished up with our poolside trash the dress session and was walking toward the buffet when one of the staff members called us over. They mentioned that there was a family at the resort looking for a photographer and asked if we were interested in taking their photos. I’m pretty sure everyone in the general vicinity heard me squeal with delight as I answered yes….YEEESSSSS!!
A few hours later, I’m meeting Ryan family and introducing them to my zany style of family photography, driving all over the resort looking for light and laughing the entire time!! I fell instantly head over heels for this family – especially the kids! These two were so at ease in front of the camera and having a good time hanging out with each other. I asked them to share with me their secret to being such a fun-lovin’ family. The response?

I just can’t thank you enough, Ryan Family, for allowing me into your family for an hour of playful family portraits… on the beach in Costa Rica!! How freakin’ cool is that? I know you’re back home safely in Texas, back to soccer and everyday life, but I hope these photos will help you relive those fond memories of your family time together in Costa Rica.
