So here’s the low, down, dirty truth…
During this engagement session with this really fun, young, hip couple…. my clumsy-self decided to take a tumble, multiple cameras, gear and all, in front of everyone walking near the Balboa Fun Zone. Yep, I fell. Hard.
Again.
My old blog no longer exists, so I can’t link to my first story about falling.. but you may recall it is the reason I no longer wear my wedding ring. If you don’t know the story, well, then you’re just gonna have to ask me.
The second time I fell, I didn’t blog about it, because no one other than God, a few weird looking bearded men camping out in the back of their truck, and my dear friend, Stephanie witnessed my quick trip to the dirty gravel. That fall is the reason I no longer wear my cute wedges to the park for photo shoots anymore.
This fall is the reason why my sister will probably never let me borrow her new Canon camera with HD video, even though I only put one teeny-tiny scratch on the body. But I don’t blame her. I hijacked her camera before she even had a chance to use it. She should have had the privilege of putting the first scratch on HER camera.
Well anyway. I’m ok. Miraculously, both the Nikon and the Canon suffered only a scratch on the bodies and I don’t need to replace my iphone for the 4th time! Sam’s pretty stoked about that.
I guess you could say I’m a pretty lucky girl! Especially considering that my tumble on the asphalt didn’t seem to dampen the spirits of my beautiful, adorable, newly engaged cousin and her fiancée! Congratulations, Vanessa & Justin! Thanks for spending the day upright with me! Well, you two did anyways…![]()
