I can’t even begin to tell you what a bittersweet month this has been, both personally and professionally. We’ve had cars and computers break down, lost jobs and found new jobs, made bad choices and found new strengths, been held up by and loved by old friends and new…. and I’ve never experienced a roller coaster life such as this, where happiness and sadness, exhilaration and grief are practically hand in hand….
Life is just that…a roller coaster.
Yesterday, for my Grandpa Ken, the roller coaster came to an sudden stop on the tracks of life. He passed away at the age of 81 and will be terribly missed by his 3 surviving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
With everything that has taken place in the past month, it has reaffirmed for me that nothing is as important as family and friends by your side, as you sit down, strap in, and hold on for dear life…and sometimes let go for the thrill of it…as we take off on this ride we call Life. Enjoy it, the good and the bad.
I’ve been seeing the various forms of the same message floating around the interweb a lot recently.. perhaps its always been there; I’ve just finally paid attention…
Remember, no human condition is ever permanent. Then you will not be overjoyed in good fortune nor too scornful in misfortune. – Socrates

I’m gonna miss you Grandpa…
