I’ve been wanting, wishing, hoping and praying to photograph the Rankin Family for as long as I can remember. Our kids went to the same school, shared many classes together, fought over the same girls together 
. Shannon is super-mom, room mom, baseball lovin’ and river raftin’ fun mom and I swear, at some point in her life, must have been a super model because she was working. it. out for me and the camera, all the while joking and laughing and being plain silly, which is more beautiful to me than any top model, in my humble opinion.
When Shannon asked about a session, she asked if her sister, chef extraordinaire Denise, and her family could join in, since they were hoping to give portraits to parents this year for Christmas. Bonus!! Denise is a super-star, rocking her red boots and three-quarter sleeve and bustin’ me open at the seams with her jokes! If the pictures are blurry, I blame her for making me laugh so hard. I feel honored and blessed to have spent time with her and her family during this shoot.
