Cassel Girls | Redlands Family Photographer

I met Stephanie in the 2nd grade. I was in awe of her the minute she brought her brand-new baby sister, Maggie, to class for show and tell. We played Little House on the Prairie on the fields at McKinley Elementary (McKinley Bears, right on, right on!). We suffered thru jr. high together. Our high school campus was huge, and yet, we managed a few AP classes together. I had many sleep overs at Stephanie’s house, and became friends with her older sister, Melanie. Melanie and I were in choir together and fought over best friends together.I loved Stephanie’s family, and secretly wished to be the 4th Cassel girl.

I can’t tell you what an honor it was for me when Melanie and Stephanie asked me to help them with a gift for a most special lady, their mom, or as I called her and always will, Mrs Cassel. Mrs. Cassel made all four of her granddaughters coordinating dresses, which was perfect for our photo shoot. We spent the morning at A.K. Smiley Library, surrounded by books and love for reading, which, I believe, was passed down from mother to daughters to granddaughters. A beautiful legacy for a beautiful family and I’m honored to be part of this special gift from the Cassel girls. Love you all with all my heart!
