I’ve been missing my weekly I ♥ Faces fix.
School started a few weeks ago, and in case you hadn’t heard, our family made the transition from private school to homeschool. I will always be extremely grateful for the foundation that my children received at their school, for without that solid foundation, they wouldn’t be able to reach for the stars now. And we’ve been stretching and reaching, reaching and stretching since school began..and that’s just PE! All kidding aside, we’ve been hard at work, getting adjusted and figuring out this new way of life and everything else has been put on hold.
But I missed my weekly I ♥ Faces fix. This website is my own personal indulgence. Picture that commercial with the woman slowly unwrapping that piece of chocolate candy, slipping it into her mouth and getting lost in the rich, creamy, smooth chocolately bliss….well that’s me, except I’m lost in my computer, clicking from website to website, checking out all the week’s entries and feeling completely indulgent with my time, though I hardly have any time for myself anymore, thus making my visits and entries to I ♥ Faces all the more sweeter!
This week’s category is “Blue”, with the color blue being significant in the picture. So here is my entry for Blue. Living in Southern California affords for some wonderful day trips and on this particular day, we spent the day at San Diego Zoo where my kids had their faces painted. As we were leaving, we hit rush hour traffic. So we made a detour to the first beach we could get to. The light was beautiful and the kids, with their seemingly endless energy, braved the frigid water for a romp along the shore with the seagulls, face make-up and all!

Looks like he’s taking off with the seagulls and lovin’ it! And I love him for thinking he can….
Take sometime for yourself, and go check out the wonderful and creative entries at I ♥ Faces. You’ll be glad you did, and, unlike chocolate, it won’t go to your hips!

P.S. ..yesterday was my husband’s birthday. He said I treated him like a King, but that’s only because he treats me like a Queen! Love ya, honey!
P.P.S. or is it P.S.S.![]()
Here are some more pics from that day. None of these have been photoshopped, just resized for the web. As you can see, it was a very blue day! Click on a thumbnail to see a larger picture.
